Tantalum capacitors weakness

Tantalum capacitors are more expensive than aluminum electrolytic capacitors with the same capacity and withstand voltage, and have weaker resistance to voltage and current. It is used in places with large capacity filtering or rectification, but due to its voltage and current resistance issues, tantalum capacitors cannot be seen near CPU slots. 

Currently, there are three common failure modes for tantalum capacitors: voltage type, current type, and heat type. After failure, they can easily cause explosive combustion, which limits their application in fire and explosion protection scenarios
